B i o g r a p h y 

Pablo Marqués Mestre began his studies in the Conservatory "Alto Palancia" in Segorbe (Spain). In 2004 he moved to Castellón and at the Conservatory "Mestre Tarrega" and after that, he realized bachelor studies at the Conservatorio Superior de Música “Salvador Seguí” in Castellón.


In parallel, he received extensive musical studies specifically in conducting with maestros Juan Luis Martínez and Salvador Sebastiá, in addition to various orchestral conducting masterclasses with maestros Yaron Traub and Cristóbal Soler among others. In 2010 he moved to Tallinn (Estonia) and studied master in orchestral conducting with maestros Toomas Kapten, Silvia Landra and Irene Lindi at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre, which ended in 2012 with Cum laude.

He has been the principal conductor of some orchestras and concert bands in Spain: Castelló Youth Symphony Orchestra (JOSC), Unión Musical Utielana from Utiel (Valencia-Spain), Ateneu Musical "Schola Cantorum" from Vall d'Uixó (Castellón-Spain), Youth Symphonic Band of Valencian Music Societies Federation (FSMCV). In addition, he has been invited to conduct several orchestras and concert bands: "Carpe Diem" Chamber Orchestra St. Petersburg (Russia), Banda Municipal de Castellón (Spain), Symphonic Band and Symphonic Orchestra of the Sociedad Instructiva Santa Cecilia de Cullera (Valencia-Spain) and the orchestra of the International Chamber Music Festival of Castellón (FIMMC). 

He has made some CD recordings with different bands and orchestras: Mahler Symphony n.1 with Jove Orquestra Simfònica de Castelló, and “Música a la Llum” with Jove Banda Simfònica de la FSMCV. With "Carpe Diem" Chamber Orchestra Saint Petersburg, he was invited to make a recording dedicated to the work of P.I. Tchaikovsky in the Grate Hall of the Catherine Palace in Pushkin (Russia), and seven concert tours in Spain from 2012 till 2018. Also, he has imparted masterclass in different countries.

 

In 2011 he won the Conducting Competition in the XXVII International Music Contest "Ciutat de Cullera " and also has won First Prize in the Valencian Community Contest with the Symphonic Band of Ateneu Musical "Schola Cantorum" of the Vall d'Uixó in 2014. Moreover, he got First Prize in the I and III Bankia Orchestral Contest with the Symphonic Orchestra of "La Primitiva" Music Society of Rafelbunyol (Valencia-Spain) in the year 2017 and 2019 repectively. In that last edition he also won the Best Conductor Prize of the competition.
